A full-stack quote platform for a 3D printing studio, turning CAD uploads, model handling, material choices, and pricing inputs into a clearer customer journey.
The Challenge
Contrain needed to move beyond a static WordPress presence and give customers a clearer path from a 3D file to a validated custom quote request.
The Solution
I owned the quote-flow experience across the frontend, 3D file handling, form validation, Django integration, and the preparation needed to deploy the system reliably.
Process & Approach
- Translated the quote journey into clear steps for file upload, model review, material selection, pricing inputs, and order confirmation.
- Built the Next.js and TypeScript interface with Three.js model previews, React Hook Form, and Zod validation.
- Integrated Django REST endpoints for authentication, secure file handling, pricing logic, and order data.
- Prepared containerized services, reverse proxying, and build checks for deployment.
Results & Impact
Delivered a working end-to-end quote flow and a deployable system that the business can use to present its services and collect structured customer requests.
